- Program name: Monopoly P.C. (IBM version)
- Author name: Len Shepard
- Address: 202 Inca Place
- Davis, CA 95616
- Suggested Donation: $30

- Program Description:
-
- This program resembles the famous board game by Parker Brothers. Monopoly
- P.C. is developed for one user to play Monopoly against the computer, which
- rolls the dice, moves the pieces and handles most of the game's functions.
- The player can buy property, morgage property, buy houses, pay taxes, fines
- and perform all other events usually related to the game via keyboard entry.
- The game comes with color or monochrome options and each cosmetic change
- can be modified by the user. During play, text flows on the screen telling
- of the moves made by the player and by the computer, however a graphics
- screen can be displayed by an option, however the screen is poorly designed
- and difficult to read. This game can be fun for the younger audience (about
- 14 and under) but older audiences will most probably call it "Monotonous"
- rather than Monopoly because there is little user strategy available. Much
- of the game boils down to pressing the enter key and watching the computer
- scroll by the events of the game. Monopoly is a classic game to play with
- friends and family so that human interaction becomes the entertaining element.
- Playing against the computer, on the other hand, is dry and boring. The
- program can be run directly from DOS and there is little documentation
- required. Monopoly P.C. requires 128k.

- Program Description:
-
- Tune Trivia is a well developed and entertaining musical trivia software
- package for all age groups. The songs are fairly difficult to correctly
- guess for the very young, but most people will find it challenging to
- play this game. The program is developed in such a way that it
- resembles the game show "Name that Tune" where contestants attempt to
- guess song titles by hearing notes played and must guess correctly
- within 20 seconds. Once a correct song has been guessed, the player
- then can attempt at a musical history trivia question. There are
- various player modes available that allow for user strategy, flexibility
- and score keeping. Tune Trivia can be installed for monochrome or color
- systems and comes with a brief manual on a diskette file. The program
- can be run directly from DOS and requires 128k. The package is great
- for family gatherings, it allows everyone to test their musical
- knowledge!
